First man to walk on the moon
Neil Armstrong was the first man to walk on the moon. He was accompanied by Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins. He was on the Apollo 11. This accomplishment made the United States ahead of the Soviets in the Space Race. It also gave people around the world the hope of future space exploration. Armstrong was quoted as saying, "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." They had a successful journey.
