The worlds most powerful earthquake
Earthquakes, which are unusual movements in the Earth are even a problem for people today. They are the effect of plates under the Earth moving and eventually creating so much seismic waves that would soon cause an earthquake. Earthquakes are measured with moments of magnitude and is the most common scale for earthquakes. On May 22, 1960 in Valdivia, Chile the largest earthquake happened. It was rated as 9.5 for moments of magnitude where no other earthquake has reached and so people hope to never have a a earthquake as powerful as that one.
